Part of the Contra Costa County Library system, it is located at 4191 Appian Way, just off of San Pablo Dam Road.

One of the smaller libraries in the system, it consists of three major areas that are open to the public:

1. The main area with sections reserved for Public Computers, Children's Book's, and regular books.
2. The Periodical room where they keep a number of magazines and newspapers. And
3. The meeting space where a number of El Sobrante's meetings are held, among other activities.

Friends of the LibraryEdit

As is the case with many public libraries, there is an associated Friends group, and they maintain a bookstore that can be found behind the Library.
