[edit] California Clean Money Campaign

There are working groups in SF, East Bay, North Bay and South Bay to support public financing of election campaigns in California. This is a voluntary system to allow candidates to free themselves from the current onerous system of fundraising and favors to large donors.

This system is already in effect in Arizona where the Governor and much of the legislature have been elected without private contributions.

They generally have meetings on the third week of each month.
