The Eastshore Freeway runs along the east of Richmond, with I-80 running along its western side. Additionally Richmond is served by AC Transit, BART, and Amtrak. Golden Gate Transit also runs a transbay route along Cutting.
The Chevron refineries are a major source of revenue and employment for Richmond.
